If you need help or advice at any time, please call us on Exeter 01392 338371. We’re here to help.
Saunton Sands Hotel
Set above a beautiful three-mile stretch of golden beach, Saunton Sands Hotel is perfect for either a spring/summer or magical winter wedding. During the hot months you and your guests can stroll on the terrace or wander through the venue’s gardens which are decked with bright, colourful flowers- the ideal backdrop for your wedding album. Alternatively, management of the hotel will ensure that a winter wedding is made memorable with cosy function rooms complimented by ice sculptures and sparkling fairy lights. Regardless of what time of year you choose to tie the knot, it’s bound to be glorious as the hotel has continuously been described as “the most stunning wedding venue in Devon”.
A personal wedding planner will be available to support couples every step of the way from the civil ceremony, decorations, food, entertainment all the way through to the honeymoon night. The four star hotel perfectly caters to both small intimate ceremonies to more grand, formal affairs and is ideal for a quirky theme and is made elegant with its splendid art deco architecture.
Although there are no grounds for a wedding fireworks display in the evening, management can gain permission from beach owners so that you and your guests can enjoy a magnificent display which will reflect beautifully on the sea.

Salcombe Harbour Hotel
Another beach venue is the Salcombe Harbour Hotel and it doesn’t get much better than this, take our word for it. After a multi-million pound refurbishment in 2013, the stylish hotel re-opened with a purpose built function room holding up to 100 guests for the day and up to 120 for an evening reception. The Marine room is licenced to hold civil ceremonies and partnerships and offers breath-taking estuary water views.
If you’re after something more intimate, their “Just the Two of Us” package is ideal and has a wonderful, licenced Bedroom Suite on offer. Regardless of the number of guests you have, Salcombe Harbour Hotel will ensure that the big day will go without a hitch. They pride themselves on their skills and experience and will ensure that a dedicated wedding planner will be on hand to help you create bespoke proposals for your day right down to the smallest details.
The luxurious Harbour Spa will be available at your convenience to help keep you calm before the ceremony where you can enjoy an indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and fitness suite along with 5 treatment rooms.
The venue welcomes wedding fireworks as part of their entertainment and in fact recommend Fantastic Wedding Fireworks as a supplier (the perfect excuse for us to come down and enjoy the golden beach). The hotel is said to be one of the most sought after wedding venues in the UK, so if you think it’s ‘the one’ we advise that you get booking to avoid disappointment.

The Two Bridges Hotel
Although it’s very tempting to focus on the venues along the coast line alone when writing about Devon, let’s take a moment to admire the romantic setting of The Two Bridges Hotel. Set in 60 acres of hotel grounds, the venue is in the centre of Dartmoor National Park, which is recognised for its striking granite tors and steep wooded river valleys. The historic and atmospheric building itself is surrounded by manicured lawns and features a leafy riverbank.
The venue specialises in Civil Ceremonies & Partnerships and can accommodate both small and intimate weddings, and larger, more extravagant weddings of up to 140 guests. The Fountain Room is ideal for smaller ceremonies and is set up beautifully with four sets of patio doors opening onto your own private garden and an ornate floodlit fountain – ideal for wedding photographs. If you have a larger ceremony in mind, the Tors Room is the perfect size and is beautifully made up of twinkling gold chandeliers, oak panelling, Georgian ceiling and overlooks the front lawns and River Dart.
You can choose from an array of menus and enjoy award-winning fresh food mostly produced locally. The venue also pride themselves on having an experienced team of wedding coordinators who will help you plan every detail from your initial booking right through to the big day.
The Two Bridges Hotel welcome fireworks displays for weddings at various points of the year and Fantastic Wedding Fireworks are proud suppliers of the venue.
